R3 Robotics Secures €20 Million for Automated Electric Vehicle System Dismantling
R3 Robotics has announced a total funding of €20 million to advance automated dismantling of electric vehicle systems. The funding includes €14 million from a Series A investment led by HG Ventures and Suma Capital, along with €6 million in European public grants.
This marks the company's transition from battery dismantling to the automated disassembly of complete electric vehicle systems. The company aims to address the rise in end-of-life volumes of electrified components with an AI-supported dismantling platform designed for industrial use. R3 Robotics plans to expand its facilities in Karlsruhe, Germany, and Luxembourg, and target markets in Germany and France, with a US market entry planned for 2026.
