R4-Integration Secures $74M Contract for HC-130J BLOS Communication Suite Upgrade
The US Air Force has awarded R4-Integration a $74 million contract to install BLOS communication suites on 39 HC-130J aircraft. The contract includes hardware and software components, integration and testing of trial kits, and satellite communication services. Work is set to occur at multiple Air Force bases, with completion expected by June 27, 2030.

R4-Integration received a $74 million contract from the US Air Force to install KuKa Beyond Line-of-Sight communication suites on 39 HC-130J aircraft. The contract entails supplying hardware and software, integrating and testing trial kits, producing installation kits, and providing satellite communication services.
Work will take place at Davis-Monthan AFB, Moody AFB, Kirtland AFB, and others, with completion anticipated by June 27, 2030. The contract is part of ongoing upgrades to enhance HC-130J capabilities. Recent deliveries include the US Coast Guard's 18th missionized HC-130J and various modernization efforts within the fleet.
