Raytheon Advances to Full-Rate Production of AN/SPY-6 Radar for US Navy

DEFENSE

Raytheon is transitioning to full-rate production of AN/SPY-6 radar systems after successful testing with the Missile Defense Agency and the US Navy. Operational testing was completed on DDG 128 in Q3 2025.

The company is focusing on cost reduction and manufacturing efficiency at its Andover, Massachusetts facility. Modifications may be required for integration with the Baseline 10 Aegis Combat System, while further work is necessary on DDG 126 before its commissioning.
