Redwire's Imaging Technology to Support NASA's Artemis II Mission
Redwire Corporation's optical imaging and sun sensor technology will be integral to NASA's Artemis II mission. This partnership, involving contracts with Lockheed Martin and Airbus, enhances navigation and inspection capabilities for the Orion spacecraft.

Redwire Corporation's advanced optical imaging and sun sensor technology will be utilized in NASA's Artemis II mission, the inaugural crewed flight of the Artemis program. Under contracts with Lockheed Martin, Redwire is responsible for the Orion Camera System's production and testing for Artemis missions I-V.
The camera system includes 11 internal and external cameras that support in-flight inspection and navigation, utilizing high-resolution imagery for machine vision algorithms. Additionally, Redwire is supplying four redundant Coarse Sun Sensor assemblies for Orion's European Service Module, essential for solar power management. This technology aims to improve mission safety and data collection, which is critical for future space exploration endeavors.
