The vehicle, designed for dock-to-dock travel over water, can achieve a range of 180 miles with existing battery technology, with future improvements potentially reaching up to 1,600 miles for defense variants. Operations are based in Quonset, Rhode Island, where engineering and testing facilities are located.
Deliveries for both commercial and defense applications are anticipated in 2027, with customers having made non-refundable deposits. Fares for routes such as Providence to New York are projected to be competitive, ranging from $200, making them cheaper than traditional travel modes.
