Rheinmetall Denel Munition Trains 80 Military Veterans in Technical Skills
Rheinmetall Denel Munition (RDM) trained 80 military veterans in various technical skills, increasing total trained veterans to nearly 1,000 since 2018. The three-month programs focused on boiler making, fitting & turning, and CNC machining, preparing veterans for entry-level roles or self-employment. RDM also supports veterans' children in acquiring skills. The initiative has led to business launches and job placements, with significant investment in skills development and operations expansion.

Rheinmetall Denel Munition (RDM) has trained 80 military veterans in technical skills, bringing the total trained since 2018 to nearly 1,000. The three-month training programs included boiler making, fitting & turning, and CNC machining, aligning with accredited unit standards.
Veterans are prepared for entry-level jobs or self-employment with skills in fabrication, machining, and safety compliance. The initiative also extends to veterans' children, promoting economic upliftment. RDM invested R85 million in skills development, with ongoing operations expansion and a significant contract for 155 mm artillery rounds from Sweden worth R7.3 billion.
