Rheinmetall Secures Major Contract for Luchs 2 Vehicle; First Hydrogen Advances SMR Research; BYD Expands EV Market Share
Rheinmetall has secured a significant contract for the Luchs 2 reconnaissance vehicle, with a delivery of 274 CT-025 turrets by 2031. The company anticipates an order intake of around €80 billion for 2026. First Hydrogen is transitioning to a clean energy provider, focusing on small modular reactors (SMRs) and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. BYD is expanding its lead in the EV market, achieving cost parity with combustion engines while CATL develops competitive battery technology.

First Hydrogen is evolving into a clean energy player, focusing on developing non-radioactive alternatives for small modular reactors (SMRs) in partnership with the University of Alberta. BYD is expanding its foothold in the EV market, achieving cost parity with internal combustion vehicles, with projections for a global market share increase from 25% in 2025 to 35% by 2030.
