Rheinmetall Signs Multi-Year Framework Contract for Hand Grenades with Dutch Armed Forces
Rheinmetall has signed a multi-year framework contract with the Dutch armed forces for the production of hand grenades, valued in the double-digit million-euro range. The five-year contract, with a potential two-year extension, encompasses around 15 grenade types and will be produced at facilities in Germany and Austria. This agreement follows previous contracts for artillery and ammunition, underscoring the ongoing collaboration between Rheinmetall and the Netherlands in defense technology.

Rheinmetall has signed a multi-year framework contract with the Dutch armed forces for the production of hand grenades, valued in the double-digit million-euro range. The contract has an initial term of five years, with an option to extend for two additional years, and covers approximately 15 different types of hand grenades.
Production will occur at Rheinmetall facilities in Trittau and Silberhütte, Germany, and Schwanenstadt, Austria. This agreement follows previous contracts for 155 mm artillery and 40 mm ammunition, reflecting the ongoing cooperation between Rheinmetall and the Netherlands in defense technology. The hand grenades are designed to enhance the operational readiness and training capabilities of the Dutch military.
