Rhoda AI has raised $450 million in Series A funding, achieving a valuation of $1.7 billion. The company intends to develop AI robotics models using publicly available online videos to enhance robots' performance in varied industrial tasks, diverging from traditional teleoperation methods.

This new approach, called Direct Video Action, enables robots to generalize from a broader range of data. Rhoda plans to produce its own hardware for quality assurance and aims to implement a robots-as-a-service model. Investors include Premji Invest and Khosla Ventures, among others.
