Rivian Partners with Georgia Universities for Electric Vehicle Workforce Development
Rivian has announced five partnerships with Georgia universities to foster workforce development in electric vehicle innovation, including scholarship programs at Georgia Piedmont Technical College, the University of Georgia, and Georgia Tech. The initiatives will culminate in the Rivian Technical Trades Program, set to launch in early 2026, which aims to train technicians for Rivian's service facilities. Additionally, Rivian is investing $150,000 in a pitch competition and scholarships, along with sponsoring the Georgia Science and Engineering Fair with a $25,000 contribution.

On December 19, Rivian announced five new partnerships with Georgia universities and institutions aimed at preparing future professionals for careers in electric vehicle innovation. The company established scholarship programs at Georgia Piedmont Technical College, the University of Georgia, and the Georgia Institute of Technology, and partnered with the Army-Designated CSP Veterans Training Empowerment Center at Fort Benning and the Georgia Science and Engineering Fair.
The Rivian Technical Trades Program, launching in early 2026, will train technicians for Rivian's service facilities. Additionally, Rivian committed $150,000 to support a novel pitch competition and academic scholarships at UGA, and will provide $75,000 for a scholarship endowment.
The Rivian Scholars program at Georgia Tech will support young engineers with financial aid. Rivian is also sponsoring the Georgia Science and Engineering Fair with an investment of $25,000.
