A robot noodle restaurant in Beijing's Fengtai district has begun trial operations, introducing an automated system that prepares and serves noodles in just over three minutes. Currently available to company employees, a public opening is anticipated in late August.
Diners order via QR code, triggering a system that handles cooking and serving, while two staff members manage ingredient replenishment and table clearing. The establishment, developed by Beijing Yuli Technology, emphasizes hygiene and standardization in its processes. The trial precedes the World Robot Conference 2026, highlighting Beijing's growing robotics sector, which generated 51.8 billion yuan in revenue in 2025.
