Romania Signs Agreement for Counter-UAS Marketplace Access with US Army
Romania gains real-time access to the US Counter-UAS Marketplace, the second country to do so, enhancing its anti-drone capabilities. This cooperation marks a significant step in strengthening regional security along NATO's Eastern Flank amid rising defense needs.

Romania's Defence Minister Radu Miruta and US Secretary of the Army Daniel P. Driscoll signed a letter of intent focusing on drones and anti-drone systems. With this agreement, Romania becomes the second nation, following the UK, to obtain real-time access to the American Counter-UAS Marketplace, which features over 1,600 anti-drone solutions, facilitating quicker acquisition processes.
The Romanian defense budget has been adjusted upwards to support these initiatives, emphasizing the importance of security. The partnership underscores Romania's commitment to transatlantic relations and regional security, particularly in the context of NATO's Eastern Flank.
