Romanian Army to Receive Additional 860 Tactical Trucks from Iveco Defense Vehicles
The Romanian Army will receive 860 additional tactical trucks from Iveco Defense Vehicles (IDV) as part of a framework agreement signed in 2019 for 2,900 vehicles. This third tranche follows the delivery of 942 vehicles in the first phase and 1,107 vehicles scheduled for 2023-2026. The new trucks, based on IDV's High Mobility range, will be delivered over the next three years, with one-third equipped with armored cabins.

The Romanian Army has contracted Iveco Defense Vehicles (IDV) for the delivery of 860 tactical trucks, part of a larger framework agreement for 2,900 vehicles. IDV previously delivered 942 vehicles, with an additional 1,107 to be supplied from 2023 to 2026.
The third tranche is set to be delivered over the next three years, with one-third of the trucks featuring armored cabins. The contract includes various platforms: 4×4, 6×6, 8×8, and 8×8 Prime Mover. By early January 2026, the Romanian Army had received 1,585 trucks, with IDV facing penalties of 35.5 million lei for delays.
