In 2025, Romanian startups secured record financing, surpassing previous years with significant contributions from international investors including Atomico and Eurazeo. A notable highlight was Dexory's $165 million Series C funding round, which nearly equaled the total funding volume for 2024.

This year marked a shift towards AI-native innovation and 'Born Global' strategies, with major investments in robotics, enterprise AI, and healthtech. Dexory led the funding with a total of $194 million, followed by Druid AI, which raised $31 million for its enterprise AI platform, totaling $100.8 million.

Digitail, a veterinary management platform, secured $23 million, bringing its total to $37 million. Other notable startups included Bible Chat, dotLumen, and Deepstash among others. Additionally, Databricks, a US-based company co-founded by Romanian Matei Zaharia, raised $5 billion in January 2025.
