Romgaz and Transelectrica Announce 2025 Dividend Plans Amid High Investment Commitments
Romgaz plans a 2025 dividend yield of 1.1% while Transelectrica's yield is 0.4%. Both companies face low payout ratios due to high investments and regulatory restrictions. Romgaz reported a net profit of RON 3.33 billion, with RON 606 million proposed for dividends, an 18% payout ratio. Transelectrica's net profit was RON 360 million, with RON 35.2 million for dividends despite retained earnings of over RON 915 million. Share prices surged by 95% and 113% year-on-year, respectively.

Romgaz and Transelectrica announced their planned 2025 dividends with yields of 1.1% and 0.4%. Romgaz's low payout ratio stems from high investment commitments, particularly in the Neptun Deep project, aimed at extracting natural gas by 2027 with investments of up to EUR 4 billion.

Transelectrica's net profit was RON 360 million, 39% lower than in 2024, with only RON 35.2 million for dividends despite having RON 915 million in retained earnings. Both companies' stock prices rose significantly, 95% and 113% year-on-year.
