Baker Hughes Secures Subsea Contract for Indonesian Gas Development
Baker Hughes has been awarded a contract by Searah North Ganal Limited to supply subsea production systems for the Kutei Northern Hub offshore Indonesia. This project aims to enhance the country's natural gas production and LNG capacity.

Baker Hughes Company has secured a contract to deliver subsea production systems and digital solutions for the Kutei Northern Hub development in Indonesia. The agreement includes the provision of 17 deepwater horizontal tree systems and associated infrastructure for the Geng North and Gehem fields.
The company's Cordant asset protection systems will be implemented to minimize equipment risks and prevent unplanned downtime. Manufacturing will occur in Batam, with operational support from Balikpapan.
This contract builds on previous projects, including a 2025 order for flash gas compressors for an FPSO vessel. This substantial investment underscores Baker Hughes' role in enhancing Indonesia's energy supply and LNG capacity.
