Rostec has launched a new 30 mm programmable airburst munition designed for helicopters and armored vehicles to target small drones effectively. This 30x165 mm round features a shrapnel projectile and a remotely programmed fuze that calculates optimal detonation points. Intended for use with the 2A42 automatic cannon, the munition enhances local air defense dynamics by enabling mechanized units to engage aerial threats without relying solely on specialized systems. The new round was showcased at the World Defense Show in Riyadh, targeting potential international customers.
