Royal Malaysian Navy to Enhance Fleet Capabilities with New Acquisitions
The Royal Malaysian Navy plans to acquire the Multi-Role Support Ship, Littoral Combat Ship, and Littoral Mission Ship to improve fleet readiness. These assets aim to address logistics gaps and enhance disaster response capabilities.

The Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) is set to acquire several new assets, including the Multi-Role Support Ship (MRSS), to bolster its fleet readiness. The MRSS will enhance logistics capabilities between Peninsular Malaysia and Sabah and Sarawak, facilitating improved national preparedness for regional crises.
Additionally, the vessel is designed to support humanitarian and disaster relief operations with the capacity to transport up to four helicopters. The procurement effort underscores the RMN's commitment to addressing operational challenges in maritime security and disaster response.
