The Royal Netherlands Navy (RNLN) has acquired 12 Shield AI V-BAT vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) unmanned aircraft systems for use aboard its vessels. The procurement was announced on March 17, with operational trials already in progress aboard HNLMS Johan de Witt during Exercise 'Cold Response 2026', running from March 9 to 19 in Norway.
