Russia Commissions 677.6 MW of Renewable Energy Capacity in 2025
In 2025, Russia added 677.58 MW of renewable energy capacity, up from 445.4 MW in 2024. Key projects included solar and wind power plants in Krasnodar, Chechnya, Dagestan, and Samara. The majority of this capacity was installed in Q4 2025, with solar plants contributing 171.4 MW and wind plants 371.25 MW.

Russia commissioned 677.58 MW of renewable energy capacity in 2025, an increase from 445.4 MW in 2024. The Severskaya solar power plant in Krasnodar, Kurchaloyevskaya SPP in Chechnya, and Derbentskaya SPP in Dagestan were among the projects launched.
Additionally, the Grazhdanskaya wind plant in Samara, Novoalekseyevskaya in Volgograd, and Novolakskaya in Dagestan began operations. In Q4 2025 alone, 542.65 MW was added, with solar plants contributing 127.3 MW and wind plants 371.25 MW.
