Russia Considers Nuclear Threats Against UK and Germany Amid Ukraine Conflict
Russia is reportedly considering the use of nuclear weapons against the UK and Germany amid the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, citing their support for NATO and Ukraine. The country's updated nuclear doctrine allows for nuclear responses to non-nuclear attacks, raising concerns about potential nuclear incidents, especially given the presence of nuclear reactors in these nations. Concurrently, the U.S. plans to resume nuclear weapons testing, which could escalate tensions and trigger an arms race.

Tucker Carlson reported that Russia is contemplating nuclear weapons use against the UK and Germany if the Ukraine war continues. Both countries have nuclear reactors, raising the risk of a meltdown from a nuclear detonation.
Russia updated its nuclear doctrine in November 2024 to allow nuclear responses to non-nuclear attacks. The doctrine targets nations aiding aggressors, including NATO states supporting Ukraine. Russia tested a nuclear-powered missile, the Burevestnik, as part of its military strategy.
The U.S. plans to resume nuclear weapons testing, potentially igniting a superpower arms race. Trade between Russia and former Soviet republics has doubled since 2020, primarily due to re-exports of sanctioned goods. Once sanctions ease, Russia may reduce trade, prompting these nations to seek closer ties with China.
