Russia Enhances South Ossetia's Military Capabilities with Modern Equipment
Russia has significantly boosted South Ossetia's military capabilities by providing modern weapons and equipment, as stated by South Ossetian President Alan Gagloyev. The recent transfer includes over 40 units of modern weapons and military gear, marking the largest batch in recent years, under an agreement to enhance military cooperation.
Gagloyev noted that the supplies, which include uniforms and anti-tank systems, have positively impacted the morale and combat readiness of South Ossetian forces. Both Gagloyev and Defense Minister Yury Yarovitsky expressed gratitude to Russian President Vladimir Putin and Defense Minister Andrey Belousov for their ongoing support. A representative from the Russian Defense Ministry emphasized that military collaboration would strengthen relations and contribute to peace in South Ossetia.
