Russia Reschedules Lunar Program with Luna-26 Orbiter Targeted for 2028

Russia's lunar program was discussed at the 50th Academic Readings on Cosmonautics, with the Luna-26 orbiter now prioritized for 2028 following the failure of Luna-25. The upcoming Luna-27 missions are scheduled for 2029 and 2030, with Luna-28 planned for 2034 to collect lunar soil.
The program includes establishing a nuclear power plant on the Moon, with collaboration from China. The ILRS aims to create a permanent base by 2036, with reconnaissance missions starting soon. The project will involve various spacecraft and is supported by over a dozen international partners.
