SA Navy Launches Joint Project Officers' Course for Enhanced Naval Project Management
The SA Navy has initiated its first Joint Project Officers' Course at Naval Base Simon's Town, aimed at enhancing project management skills among officers. Led by Colonel Leonard Badenhorst and supported by other senior officers, the course focuses on equipping naval personnel with principles necessary for managing major naval projects. It includes practical training at the SAN submarine training school and site visits to manufacturers, such as Reutech Radar Systems, to learn about local naval radar technologies.

The South African Navy has launched its inaugural Joint Project Officers' Course at Naval Base Simon's Town. This course, a significant milestone in the navy's organizational development, is led by Colonel Leonard Badenhorst and supported by Colonel Frank Kemp and Lieutenant Colonel Sharon Maponya.
Its purpose is to provide naval officers with essential project management skills for overseeing major naval projects. The course includes practical training at the SAN submarine training school and visits to manufacturers, including Reutech Radar Systems in Stellenbosch, to gain insights into South African naval radar and sensor technologies.
