This site is pivotal for the integration and testing of the combat systems on upgraded Hobart class destroyers, enhancing naval capabilities and reducing reliance on foreign technology.

Saab Australia has initiated the Hobart Australian Interface Reference Site at its Sovereign Combat Systems Collaboration Centre to facilitate system integration and testing for the Hobart class destroyer combat systems. The Australian Interface, which is a derivative of the Royal Australian Navy's Australian Combat Management System, will integrate various military technologies, enhancing operational capabilities for the fleet.
This development aims to minimize costs and risks associated with system delivery while providing a uniform operator experience. Saab is also supplying MultiFunction Consoles as part of the upgrade program and is collaborating with BAE Systems and Lockheed Martin to ensure effective combat systems integration.
