Saab Unveils HEAT 758 Munition, Expands Production in US and India
Saab has launched the HEAT 758 tandem-warhead for the Carl-Gustaf M4, capable of penetrating 700 mm of armor. The company is expanding manufacturing facilities in Grayling, Michigan, and near New Delhi, India, to enhance production capacity and meet rising demand.
Saab's HEAT 758 munition for the Carl-Gustaf M4 recoilless rifle can penetrate 700 mm of armor, including explosive reactive armor, and has a range of 600 meters. The company is expanding its manufacturing capabilities with a new facility in Grayling, Michigan, which is expected to start full-scale production by 2028.
Additionally, Saab is establishing a factory near New Delhi, India, enhancing its production capacity and integration into local defense ecosystems. The company has committed €500 million to expand its facilities in Sweden.
Concurrently, Saab introduced the Bolide 2 missile for the RBS 70 NG air defense system, featuring a larger warhead and modular design, with deliveries scheduled for next year. This expansion reflects Saab's strategy to meet increasing global demand while strengthening its position in key markets.
