Sage Solaire has proposed the development of a solar park on the site of the former Fortress paper mill in Thurso, Quebec, as part of Hydro-Québec's tender process. The land, owned by Investissement Québec, is affected by potential industrial contamination but is considered ideal for solar energy.

The project must be selected from eight to ten proposals by March 31. If chosen, structural studies will occur in 2027-2028, with construction starting in 2029. The project aims to generate economic benefits, including royalties for local municipalities, while contributing to Thurso's green initiatives.
