Saltchuk Marine and Harbor Docking Form Joint Venture, Launching Four New Hybrid Tugs
Saltchuk Marine and Harbor Docking & Towing have established a joint venture named Green Tug Towing, set to enhance terminal support services in the U.S. Woodside Energy has awarded GTT a 20-year contract for the design, construction, and operation of four advanced hybrid escort tugs for LNG operations in Calcasieu, Louisiana.

Green Tug Towing (GTT) will provide towing, escort, and terminal support services in the U.S. This joint venture has secured a 20-year contract from Woodside Energy to develop four advanced hybrid escort tugs for LNG vessel operations.
C&C Marine & Repair will construct the tugs based on the RApport 2800H design, enhancing safety and environmental compliance. Key features of the tugs include advanced diesel-electric hybrid propulsion, optimized hulls for LNG terminal operations, and high-performance towing capabilities. This initiative aims to improve maritime operations and environmental performance at Woodside Louisiana LNG terminal and may open avenues for future collaborations in U.S. ports.
