Saltworks Selected for Water Recovery Project by Semiconductor Manufacturer
Saltworks Technologies Inc. has been chosen by a global semiconductor manufacturer for water recovery solutions, enhancing Project Aurora. This initiative aims to optimize lifecycle costs and ensure operational resilience in semiconductor production.

EMP Metals Corp. announced on April 7 that Saltworks Technologies will implement water recovery and zero liquid discharge (ZLD) systems for a leading semiconductor manufacturer. Saltworks' advanced desalination techniques, modular construction, and digital controls were key factors in securing the project, which aims to meet stringent sustainability and reliability standards in semiconductor fabs.
The project will utilize Saltworks' Xtract ion exchange, XtremeRO, and SaltMaker MVR ZLD technologies in an integrated system. This approach is designed to reduce risks and accelerate project timelines, providing the necessary operational certainty for water treatment in semiconductor manufacturing. Successful implementation may set a precedent for future industrial water recovery projects.
