Samsung Heavy Secures 368 Billion Won LNG Carrier Order in Oceania
Samsung Heavy Industries has secured a 368 billion-won (US$254 million) contract to build an LNG carrier for a client in Oceania, scheduled for delivery by May 2028. This order contributes to the company's total ship orders of US$1.9 billion in 2026, representing 14% of its annual target of $13.9 billion.

Samsung Heavy Industries has won a 368 billion-won (US$254 million) contract to construct one liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier for a shipper in Oceania, with delivery set for May 2028. This contract brings the company's total ship orders to US$1.9 billion for the year, which is approximately 14% of its annual order target of $13.9 billion. Samsung Heavy plans to continue focusing on securing contracts for higher-margin vessels, including container and LNG carriers.
