SAP Develops SafetyGuard Prototype Utilizing AI and Robotics
SAP is advancing its investment in embodied AI with the introduction of the SafetyGuard prototype, developed in collaboration with UnternehmerTUM at TUM. This innovation aims to streamline safety inspections across industries, potentially reducing time and errors in compliance with safety regulations.

SAP is collaborating with UnternehmerTUM to develop the SafetyGuard prototype, which combines robotics and AI for automatic safety inspections. Created in 12 weeks by the MIDAS student team and SAP Research & Innovation, the prototype focuses on detecting and documenting workplace hazards efficiently.
It utilizes modular robotics and AI-driven autonomy, allowing robots to operate in environments without human presence. SafetyGuard aims to enhance the speed and accuracy of safety inspections, addressing the common challenges of time consumption and errors in current processes. The project exemplifies effective cross-location collaboration in product development, signaling a significant advancement in SAP's ecosystem approach.
