The first building in the Saratoga Heights redevelopment project in Binghamton, NY, will open in the coming weeks. The Binghamton Housing Authority plans to open one building per month until April 2027.

The $60 million renovation includes 100 units with accessible features and updated electrical and plumbing systems, retiring natural gas lines. The project is supported by a New York State Homes and Community Renewal grant.

Units will be available to Section 8 tenants, who will pay 30% of their income in rent and utilities. Cornerstone Medical Center will also expand its services as part of this initiative.
