SaskPower and Bruce Power Sign MOU for Nuclear Energy Exploration in Saskatchewan
SaskPower and Bruce Power have initiated a partnership to assess large-scale nuclear power generation in Saskatchewan, enhancing the province's energy strategy. This collaboration aims to address rising electricity demand and facilitate resource development opportunities.

On April 15, SaskPower and Bruce Power entered a memorandum of understanding to explore large-scale nuclear power generation in Saskatchewan. Bruce Power will provide expertise in nuclear generation and project development, aligning with the province's ongoing small modular reactor initiative.
The partnership aims to strengthen the energy mix, facilitating opportunities for exports as Saskatchewan seeks reliable baseload power to support industries like mining and agriculture. By leveraging Bruce Power's operational experience, Saskatchewan positions itself to make informed energy decisions that promote economic growth and emissions reduction.
