Saudi Arabia and South Korea have formalized an MoU to enhance collaboration in the oil and gas sectors. Key areas of focus include petroleum, natural gas, refining, and petrochemicals, with an emphasis on boosting energy investment.
Notably, the agreement targets expanding Saudi crude oil storage within South Korea's Strategic Petroleum Reserve to improve supply stability. Joint infrastructure projects involving crude oil pipelines will also be explored. Additionally, both nations will work together on technology, digital transformation, sustainability initiatives, and energy infrastructure development, which may lead to increased regional energy resilience.
