Saudi Aramco Aims for 75% Local Content by 2030 as Jafurah Gas Project Starts Production
Saudi Aramco has achieved a 70% local content target under its iktva program and aims to increase it to 75% by 2030. The iktva program has contributed over $280 billion to Saudi GDP and generated over 200,000 jobs. Additionally, Aramco has begun production from its $100 billion Jafurah unconventional gas project, with initial condensate exports planned for late February or early March 2026, targeting 2 billion cubic feet per day of natural gas production by 2030.

The Jafurah project aims to produce 2 billion cubic feet of natural gas daily by 2030, supporting Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 goals to reduce oil dependency and enhance local manufacturing and energy supply.
