Saudi Aramco Launches First Quantum Computer; Italy Protests for Palestine
Saudi Aramco has unveiled the kingdom's first quantum computer in collaboration with Pasqal, establishing a Quantum Computing as a Service (QCaaS) platform. This development aims to enhance energy solutions globally while Italy faces a national strike in solidarity with Palestine, reflecting rising geopolitical tensions.

Saudi Aramco, in partnership with Pasqal, has launched the first quantum computer in Saudi Arabia, featuring a processor that utilizes neutral atoms to control 200 programmable qubits. This initiative will also introduce the first QCaaS platform in the Middle East, allowing global access for industries to tackle complex issues in energy and logistics.
Meanwhile, Italy has witnessed a 24-hour national strike, disrupting public transport and schools, in protest against the government's stance on Palestine. Interpol's Operation Ramz has resulted in 201 arrests across 13 countries in the Middle East and North Africa, targeting cybercrime.
Additionally, over 53,000 cases of monkeypox were reported globally in 2025, with the majority occurring in Africa. The situation remains critical as health and geopolitical challenges escalate.
