Savitribai Phule Pune University to Launch School of Undergraduate Studies for Specialized Engineering Courses
Savitribai Phule Pune University plans to establish a School of Undergraduate Studies offering specialized BTech and BE courses in areas like space technology and defense. Initial discussions with the Indian Institute of Space Technology and DRDO have taken place. Other potential degrees include climate change and molecular medicine. The university also aims to start an aeronautical engineering course in collaboration with Hindustan Aeronautical Limited and establish a Distinguished Visiting Faculty program. The recruitment for 111 teaching positions is set to conclude by mid-2026.
