SCZONE and Netherlands Discuss Green Hydrogen Cooperation
Waleid Gamal El-Dien, Chairman of SCZONE, and Dutch Ambassador Peter Mollema discussed potential investments in green hydrogen production in Egypt, with plans to export green ammonia to Germany by 2027. They highlighted the importance of developing regulatory frameworks and financing tools to attract global investors, while the Netherlands reaffirmed its commitment to collaborating on energy projects, building on previous initiatives aimed at creating a hydrogen ecosystem in Egypt.

Waleid Gamal El-Dien, Chairman of SCZONE, met with Dutch Ambassador Peter Mollema to discuss investment in green hydrogen production in Egypt. The SCZONE aims to localize green fuel industries and is on track to export green ammonia to Germany by 2027.
They emphasized the need for regulatory frameworks and financing tools to attract global investment. The Netherlands expressed commitment to collaborating on energy projects, building on past cooperation including the 'Duwaal from Wind to Wheel' initiative, which aims to create a hydrogen ecosystem in Egypt using wind and solar energy.
