Seabrook Upgrades Streetlights and School Boilers to LED and High-Efficiency Systems
Seabrook is implementing energy-efficient upgrades, including replacing 450 streetlights with LED fixtures and installing a second high-efficiency natural gas boiler at the school. These projects, supported by Unitil incentives through NHSaves, aim to reduce energy use, lower costs, and minimize carbon emissions.

Seabrook has replaced 450 streetlight fixtures with LED lights, reducing energy consumption by an estimated 567,969 kilowatt hours annually. This $703,524 project received $167,353 in incentives from Unitil through NHSaves.
Additionally, the Seabrook School District installed a second high-efficiency natural gas boiler, improving efficiency to 97% and expected to decrease annual energy use by 1,315 therms. The boiler project cost $60,250, with a $4,000 incentive provided. These initiatives aim to enhance energy efficiency, reduce costs, and lower carbon emissions over the long term.
