Sebastián Laiseca Joins Menako Capital After Departing Indra's Defense Program

DEFENSE

Sebastián Laiseca, former head of Indra's major defense program FCAS, has joined Menako Capital as a strategic advisor. His move comes less than a year after leaving Indra amid internal tensions, including a conflict with CEO Ángel Escribano during a defense area reorganization.

Laiseca, who was with Indra since 2017, coordinated the FCAS project, which aims to develop a sixth-generation air defense system by 2040 with an investment of €2.5 billion from Spain. This initiative involves collaboration with France and Germany and major industrial partners like Airbus and ITP Aero. Alongside Laiseca, Jan Farrell will serve as an operating partner at Menako Capital, which aims to invest in sectors including defense, technology, and aerospace, leveraging their expertise in complex, high-tech projects.
