Security Forces Disrupt Interfaith Conference in Krasnodar
Security forces intervened during a planned interfaith conference in Krasnodar, expelling over 100 participants. Activist Marina Melikhova has filed complaints against the authorities, linking the disruptions to her previous legal troubles and ongoing harassment.

On March 21, 2025, security forces disrupted an interfaith conference organized by Marina Melikhova in Krasnodar, expelling attendees who had gathered to promote interreligious cooperation. Over a hundred participants had applied to attend, but many retreated in fear after the intervention.
Melikhova, who leads the public organization 'Era Vodoley,' reported that her home, intended for public dialogue, was stormed by security personnel. She filed a complaint with the Krasnodar Krai Prosecutor's Office on April 4 regarding the incident.
Previous legal actions against her include a conviction for discrediting the army, raising concerns about state pressure on her activities. Legal disputes over the building's status also continue, complicating her efforts.
