Segezha to Supply LNG Tanker Plywood to East Asia for Shipbuilding by 2026
Segezha Group has signed an agreement to supply LNG tanker plywood to East Asia for constructing seven LNG container ships, with deliveries starting in 2026. The plywood will be used for fuel systems in these vessels. The company anticipates a significant demand for LNG plywood in shipbuilding, with plans to increase production capacity at Vyatsky Plywood Mill by 2025.

Segezha Group plans to supply LNG tanker plywood to East Asia starting in 2026, following a signed agreement with a regional partner. The plywood will be utilized in the construction of fuel systems for seven LNG container ships.
Previously, Segezha indicated intentions to sign a long-term contract with Samsung Heavy Industries in South Korea, aiming for initial deliveries by the end of 2025, which could boost production at Vyatsky Plywood Mill by at least 25%. The mill is expected to produce 192,000 cubic meters annually after ramp-up, with production in 2024 exceeding 180,000 cubic meters. Segezha's LNG plywood is designed to withstand extreme conditions, meeting global demand in shipbuilding.
