The project aimed to export US natural gas to Asian markets but faced regulatory and community challenges. Sempra Infrastructure has suspended the Vista Pacífico LNG project in Sinaloa, Mexico, as disclosed in its 10-K filing on Feb. 26, 2026. The project, intended to facilitate the export of US natural gas to Asian markets, faced regulatory and community challenges over four years.
Grupo Solmar reported a nearly 50% reduction in LP gas consumption at its hotels in Los Cabos, dropping from 1,345,237L in 2021 to 691,617L in 2025, due to energy efficiency measures. Mapfre announced a 27% reduction in energy use, exceeding its 2030 target, as part of its commitment to climate neutrality.
