Sempra Infrastructure to Sell Stake to KKR and CPP for $10 Billion
Sempra Infrastructure has announced a deal to sell a 45% stake to KKR and the Canada Pension Plan (CPP) for $10 billion, with the transaction expected to close in the second or third quarter of 2026. Currently, Sempra Infrastructure is 70% owned by Sempra Energy and specializes in developing and operating natural gas pipelines and LNG export terminals in the U.S. and Mexico.

Sempra Infrastructure, which develops and operates natural gas pipelines and LNG export terminals in the U.S. and Mexico, is 70% owned by Sempra Energy. In September 2025, Sempra agreed to sell a 45% stake to KKR and CPP for $10 billion, closing in Q2 or Q3 2026.
