On the eve of NASA's Artemis II crewed lunar mission, Senator Maria Cantwell visited key aerospace companies in Washington, including Karman Space & Defense and Aerojet Rocketdyne. These firms are among 41 from the state contributing components to the mission scheduled for launch.
As the ranking member of the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee, Cantwell's oversight includes NASA and the Federal Aviation Administration, emphasizing the strategic importance of Washington's aerospace capabilities in the broader context of U.S. space initiatives.
