Senator Jon Ossoff has secured $1.8 million in federal funding for the Salvation Army of Gainesville, aimed at renovating its facility. The funding will support improvements to the homeless shelter, kitchen, dining areas, gym, and childcare facilities.
This bipartisan initiative is part of the Consolidated Appropriations Act that became law on February 3, 2026. The Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Housing and Urban Development are among the agencies funded through this legislation.
