Senex Energy Cuts Workforce After $1bn Gas Expansion; NIOA and GDOTS Collaborate on Munitions Supply
Senex Energy is reducing its workforce following a $1bn expansion, maintaining 200 positions for ongoing operations. NIOA and GDOTS aim to supply 70mm rockets to the Australian Army, enhancing local manufacturing capabilities.

Senex Energy is rationalizing its workforce post-$1bn expansion, retaining about 200 employees, including 100 contractors for gas operations in Queensland. The company aims to produce up to 60 PJ of gas annually, meeting 40% of Queensland's domestic needs.
Concurrently, NIOA and GDOTS have entered an agreement to supply 70mm rockets for the Australian Army's Apache helicopters under Project LAND 4503. This initiative may lead to local assembly of rockets in Australia, enhancing supply chain reliability and creating skilled jobs at the Benalla munitions facility. The developments underscore the importance of domestic production capabilities in defense and energy sectors.
