Seplat's ANOH Project Begins Gas Supply to Indorama, Reactivates Four Wells
Seplat Energy Plc has commenced gas production from its Assa North-Ohaji South (ANOH) project in Imo State, which can process 300 million standard cubic feet per day (MMscfd). Gas is now flowing to Indorama's petrochemical plant in Rivers State under an offtake agreement approved by the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission on January 16, 2026.
This follows the completion of an 11 km gas export pipeline and the reactivation of four upstream wells that were on standby since November 2025. Current wet gas production is reported at 40-52 MMscfd.
The ANOH facility, a joint venture with the Nigerian Gas Infrastructure Company, enhances Seplat's onshore gas processing capacity to over 850 MMscfd, contributing to revenue generation and supporting Nigeria's energy transition goals. Preparations are also underway for sales to Nigeria LNG under an interruptible offtake agreement.
