SES Extends Satellite Communications Agreement with Australian Defence Force
SES has renewed its satellite communications agreement with the Australian Defence Force for a minimum of six years, utilizing the IS-22 satellite. The agreement includes relocating the satellite in orbit and establishing a ground segment in Australia, enhancing critical communications capabilities for domestic and international operations, particularly in the Indo-Pacific region.

SES will supply satellite communications to the Australian Defence Force under a renewed agreement for at least six years, utilizing the IS-22 satellite. SES will relocate IS-22 in orbit as directed by the ADF and establish a ground segment in Australia.
The satellite's UHF capacity supports both domestic missions and international cooperation, particularly with the US. This extension ensures critical communications capability in the Indo-Pacific region, vital for Australia's defense operations.
