SHPT Launches Fuel Cell Systems for Hydrogen-Powered UAV Project in Germany
SHPT has launched its new low-power closed-loop air-cooled fuel cell systems for a hydrogen-powered UAV inspection project in Germany, marking a shift from the automotive sector to the industrial UAV market. The F-series fuel cell products, rated at 6kW and compatible with various UAV models, aim to enhance endurance and service cycles, with applications planned for logistics and emergency rescue. The company has already developed a 25kg-class hydrogen UAV for photovoltaic inspections, demonstrating over one hour of flight endurance.

SHPT is deploying its new low-power closed-loop air-cooled fuel cell systems in a hydrogen-powered UAV inspection project in Germany. This marks a strategic expansion from the automotive sector to the low-altitude economy.
The F-series fuel cell products, with a power range of 1kW to 60kW, are compatible with various UAV models and target the industrial UAV market, which requires long endurance and service cycles. Each system has a rated power of 6kW, operates efficiently in temperatures from -20℃ to 40℃, and allows for hydrogen refueling in 3-5 minutes.
SHPT has already developed a 25kg-class hydrogen UAV for applications like photovoltaic inspections in Inner Mongolia, offering over 1 hour of endurance. The company plans to explore applications in diverse sectors including logistics, emergency rescue, and more, while strengthening its position in the global hydrogen energy supply chain.
